Does Coconut Oil Control Hair Fall and Improve Hair Growth?

Coconut oil is an edible oil derived from the wick or milk of coconut palm fruit. Cold-pressed coconut oil is extracted from the flesh of mature coconuts that helps retain the nutrients. The derived coconut oil is a solid fat that remains liquid in warm temperatures and solidifies in cool temperatures. For many years coconut oil has been used for cooking, beauty products and even hair oils. It is a very nourishing and moisturising oil that is rich in fatty acids. Is coconut oil good for hair? Yes, definitely as it penetrates into the hair strands and makes them stronger.

Does Coconut oil control hair fall and improve hair growth?

Coconut oil helps in strengthening hair strands. A study has shown that coconut oil is a triglyceride of lauric acid that helps in better penetration of oil in the hair strands, making them stronger with each application. Coconut oil is rich in fatty acids and has a high affinity for hair proteins, which helps in preventing hair fall. It also nourishes scalp and moisturises dry hair, which helps in better hair growth. So, with weekly usage of coconut oil you can control hair fall and improve hair growth.
